Dunya hosts Side-by-Side: Supported Personal Practice

For years, practitioners have been sharing their difficulties with establishing and maintaining a personal practice. It is challenging. Well, along comes Zoom, which is by nature in your living room, in your world, right where you would be doing a personal practice. The beauty is we can do it together, side by side. Zoom is turning out to be a powerful portal—the Sufi energy moves well there.

I propose Wednesdays as support in this form:
– We will begin with a brief 5′- 10′ Lead & Follow to get us going featuring guest leaders
– I’ll DJ music for movement into the deepening arc for 30′
– a period of quiet for writing (or for rest)
– a period in break-out rooms in smaller groups to read-back (or speak from our body-being)
– a brief return to the Main Room to say goodbye

If you are new to Dancemeditation™, I recommend doing Saturday mornings as well where you will be guided through this practice’s progression. The supported practice will then amplify your meditation and make more sense.

About Zoom: If it is new to you, just know it’s not that hard. And it is a real blessing to be able to move side-by-side at a distance. Give yourself 15′ to download it and learn a few settings before we meet.
