Dancemeditation Retreat with Dunya
at Sufi Camp, Torreon, NM
September 23 - 27
Come feel your being, your body, your mysticism.
We slow and notice and feel, unwind…unburden…rest, wake, and savor through healing Dancemeditation. This summer we will be Sufi Camp, in the Manzano Mountains of NM, the spiritual root home of this work.
- Arrival is on Tuesday.
- Then five full days of the work, Wednesday through Sunday.
- Depart on Monday.
Last autumn, while traveling through New Mexico, Ric & I stopped at Sufi Camp in Torreon. We arrived on a quiet October afternoon just after the rain had passed. Luminous clouds filled the sky. The Camp was still and peaceful, inviting unhurried wandering and reflection.
During our visit, we learned that Sufi Camp is opening its doors to host outside groups. Conversations followed, interest grew, and the possibility began to take shape. The more it unfolds, the more joy and gratitude I feel about returning to this place where so much of my training and practice began.
Sufi Camp is a simple, comfortable, and welcoming environment—ideal for embodied spiritual practice. It offers a large carpeted workroom, dorms and cabins, showers and bathrooms, a kitchen, and quiet forested land rising up the mountain for walking, hiking, or camping. The atmosphere is peaceful, grounded, and supportive.
I warmly invite you to join us this September.
I can’t wait to move with you ~
Dunya
