At the turn of the year, the Dancemeditation Winter Retreat with Dunya shines its warm, bright light into the heart of our every cell. Come experience embodied self-care, healing, and self-connection. Come bask in the beauty of your deepest self and the good company of one another. This event is open to all!

Dancemeditation™ regenerates, heals, connects, and transports us to embodied presence again, and again. Dancemeditation™ helps us trust ourselves. We move through the crust of harried surface worries and into our huge spiritual intelligence. Body speaks to us from the flow of our most Original self, freeing us from habitual patterns, and increasing our awareness of embodied present-ness. Without words, with beautiful music, with eyes open or closed, in the continual flow of breath awareness, we weave our inner and outer space and ignite our spiritual heart. Dunya’s powerful teaching guides participants into their depths, their aliveness, their presence.

Slow Movement, Breath-based Movement, Whirling, Somatic Exploration, and more.

This retreat is included in the Dancemeditation Immersion Training Arc but can be done a la carte.

Come explore your own beauty in the company of other wonderful seekers.

The retreat is 10am – 4pm with an hour break midday to eat lightly and to feed the parking meters.

About lunch
Bring a light lunch. There is a microwave in the downastairs lounge. There is a water fountain with filtered water. Provide for yourself so you are supported but not burdened with digesting food.

There is metered and unmetered parking on the street.  The meters are 3 hours. We will be taking a break midday so you can go feed them as well as yourself.

Please bring

– layers to stay warm when you rest, including socks (the non-slip ones are good)
– a veil if you have one (3 yard length of lightweight fabric)
– journal & pen

Nestled beside the drawbridge at 68 Water Street, the Woods Hole Community Hall is a beautiful old village hall with timeless Old-world charm, seaside spirit, and welcoming, modern comforts in the heart of Woods Hole Village.

Inside, a spacious gathering hall with gorgeous wood floors offers warmth, character, and room to move, create, celebrate, and come together. Downstairs, a cozy lounge and gathering room with a sink and two newly renovated bathrooms provide additional comfort and convenience. Step outside and you’re in the heart of Woods Hole Village, within easy walking distance of the bus terminal, Woods Hole Market, coffee shops, and restaurants. And all around us is the sea — the salt air drifting through the village, the water just beyond, and the unmistakable feeling of being somewhere special.

Eel Pond

Woods Hole, a small fishing village perched on the Atlantic Coast, is a major scientific research hub as well as popular tourist destination for its seaside beauty and old world charm. It is also a quiet haven for Dancemeditation. Our event takes place in the upstairs studio in the Old Fire Station in the Village center on Eel Pond.

P & B Bus Schedule and ticket purchase.

Travel
Air travlers have two options:
Fly into Boston Logan Airport, take the Peter Pan Bus or P & B Bus directly to Woods Hole. (About 2 hours.) It has pick ups at all terminals downstairs outside of baggage claim at stops labeled Scheduled Bus. Woods Hole is the final stop. You’ll be at the ferry dock and from there it’s a short walk to the Old Fire Station.

Fly into TFGreen in Providence, take an Uber/Lyft to the Bus Terminal and a Peter Pan Bus or P & B Bus to to Woods Hole Ferry Terminal. (About 3 1/2 hours.)

Lodging
We are organizing shared BnBs. If you are flying and do not want to rent a car make sure your housing is in Woods Hole. All of Woods Hole Village is walkable. Falmouth is 4 miles away and requires a car. As well there are many area hotels open in the off-season.

For those driving, participants in recent retreats have enjoyed The Heights Hotel on Grand Ave. in Falmouth Heights, about 10 min drive from the Fire Station, and the Woods Hole Inn in Woods Hole Village. Many local BnBs, hotels, and inns continue to book throughout the holiday period.

Food
There are several excellent eateries for breakfast. We will also have group dinners on a couple of nights. More on food as we approach.
