Blog: My Baraka

Blog: My Baraka

 Journal June 27, 2024

The blessedness of returning to live in my childhood house on Cape Cod where I dreamt and danced under the wings of my dear parents is beyond measure…I have always considered the Sufi idea of  baraka (blessing) to be a dramatic, wild, visionary energy, an otherworldly energy, but perhaps this gentle sweetness is also baraka.
I daily feel the thinning of the veils between the Worlds…
This Path.
To be born, to seek, to die.
In this, I experience what is.
To be and not to be in any awake moment.
To open.
To be sluiced with sacredness.
To see and then to not see,
in the Void not known with eyes, ears, nose, skin, tongue.
Held, then tossed into the non-time.
All. Nothing.
